Thinglish, or, Why I Need to Learn Thai

On our last night in Sangklaburi, Reena, MaiMai and I went to one of two sit-down restaurants in town. There was even an English menu!...sort of. This is the most extreme example of Thinglish (Thai English) I have ever seen, and I’ve seen some extreme examples. I forgot my camera but dutifully copied down all indecipherable menu items onto paper, because these phrases were too good to forget.

-Typical thai dish roasts A freshwater snail.
-Keep the fish.
-Ompok fish curry Bimaculatus.
-Spicy lemongrass lampshade broken soup.
-Soup totals up the friend
-Mischievous fish soup fries
-Oil shell fish deer
-Deer cooks black pepper
-Minced pig formula Karen meat
-Frying pan hot sea.
-Cook spicy vegetables chicken totals up
-Wild boar cooks spicy young pepper
-Boil curve the ompok bimaculatus
-Fish steams the lmon
-Fish steams
-fish boils.
-fried rice three is taste
-fish fries herbs (heavy downstream)
-omelet moderates
-Mix total up the frind.
-Mix the fish naw.
-Mix hawk horse eggs
-Waterfall pig
-The shrimp is startled
-whole porker neck
-put’in dip

  3. what does it all MEAN???? I think there might be a coded message here we aren't picking up on. That is the only explanation for it.
